[A] your work has to be about names and about strength.
[T] the title of the work has to feature simple present verbs.

That’s not my name represents, from the eyes of a lonely traveller, the strong feeling that appears when he faces the people holding signs with names while arriving to an airport or a train station, knowing that no one is waiting for him. Feeling alone in a crowded place. This is a weird situation that exposes the subject to feel unimportant, but at the same time free. This is exaggerated by adding very powerful people’s names (from different strength fields) in the signs. download the essay

It also depicts the relationship between humans and machines, how we are strengthen by our aids provoking a thought process relating to time and words and names evolves through time like humanity. What about time? How have we been strong enough to set ourself in limits determined by the invention of “standard time”? The image is substantially clear in proposing a philosophical reflection about the meaning of abstract concepts and how they exist simply because we - has humans - need to name them in order to visualize them and make them tangible. How to describe “strength” if no spokenlanguage is applied to the communication? There’s a need to codify and decodify reality and images are simply not strong enough. download the essay

She Lift the World in the Name of...
sibi a workshow II, Politecnico di Milano, Milan, 2014
[M] you have to shoot a photo in black and white. it has to be shot in an open space and measure 20x25cm.
[A] your work has to be about names and about strength.
[T] the title of the work has to feature simple present verbs.

My work is about inner strenght and it represents a metaphor. In Italy, we say “the world is collapsing on me” to say we are going througha very tough moment of our life, so tough that it seems the world itself is crumpling. Obviously it takes a lot of strenght to overcome such a moment: the two photos are about that strenght.
They show a woman doing yoga but there is a fundamental detail: they are turned upside down. So there is a woman whose feet do not touchthe earth and still she is lifting something big, she is floating in the air and maybe she could fall, while her face shows extertion: the task looks hard... But still she looks light. The second part of the title, “in the name of ...” refers to the fact that everyone has his own way to find and name strenght. It could be lifted in the name of passion, faith, love, beauty or something else. So the title is “lifting the world in the name of…” with the three dots that represent an empty spot so that everyone can choose what name put instead of them. download the essay

[T] the title of the work has to feature simple present verbs.

¿What is a “name”? ¿Is it just a word for identification, or is it a part of the object/subject? ¿Can it really define a “thing”, or is it just a logical construct created for practical purposes? Truht is, all of them can be right and/or wrong, according to several theories or fields, like phlilosophy or religion. For this exercise, the objetive was to show the power of the (abscence of) words for the coherence of a given text (in this case, a text about the power of written words over violence), with a degree of criticism on censorship. download the essay

[A] The cover song has to be about cinema and about signs.
[T] The title of the cover song has to start with a G.

The Girl From Transformers is a cover based on the classic Antonio Carlos Jobim Bossa Nova composition, most famously recorded by Astrud Gilberto. The recording features the vocals of Savannahs Dabhark (30 years old at the time of the recording).
Lyrically the cover presents a new spin on the jazz standard, and pays homage to Megan Fox, the talentless set dressing in the first 2 live action films based on Transformers (the 1980's cartoon/toy franchise, nostalgic to many thirty something's).
The actress was replaced in the third installment of the Jerry Bruckheimer film franchise, and so the narrater woefully pays tribute to her absence. The strange alien robot ambiance is achieved by forgoing the warmth and simplicity of the original songs nylon guitar accompaniment, in favour of some more unnecessarily complicated orchestration using synthetic virtual instruments and the sound of a metronome throughout. Chord voicings are purposely muddy and off putting, in order to echo the pointless plot lines of today's Hollywood blockbusters. download the essay

[T] The photos has to be about moment and about despair. The title of the series has to start with a K.

The name of the series is KADMIEL. This male name is taken from the Hebrew ancient language meaning "God first".
We have chosen it because it reinforces the basic idea of human origin - coming from God, represented in one of the most ancient andsacred languages. Photographically interpreting the human despair for perfection of the body, mind and soul. The moment is depicted in three personal dimensions using the same body of a man:
The Spiritual ( The Hand )
The Mental ( The Head )
The Physical ( The Back )
Each dimension is depicted in a double photo of the same moment:
The abstract ( left )
The context ( right )
The abstract photo is creating a certain mood and freedom to interpret where as the context is giving a different angle/ wider perspective on the subject and helping realize the despair of the seemingly perfect moment.
Each of the three photos is a double photo with an extra tab on the right side. The format references the aesthetics of a storyboard therefore giving space for the viewer to finish the story. download the essay
